Chris Gay with Rainbow Trout |
Lodge Owner Kirk
Gay
Kirk Gay, lodge owner, is a lifelong Alaskan and has 50 years of flying and guiding experience in Alaska (without a guest injury). Kirk, and his lovely wife Liza, are frequent guests at Valhalla and enjoy fishing adventures, flying the wilderness, photography, and visiting with fishing friends. Kirk flys the Helio 295 floatplane as his own personal use aircraft. Liza is an accomplished pilot as well, and she has been flying her own vintage Piper PA-12 for the past 35 years.
Valhalla Lodge guide operations are managed by Kirk's son, Chris Gay. Chris is 40 years old, and he knows his fishing. Anglers from all over the world are amazed at Chris's ability to spot the "big trout". Chris started fly fishing, at Valhalla Lodge, when he was just 5 years old. Arguably, he is one of the best trout fishing guides in Alaska. And, we have a wonderful crew to support Chris; top talented pilots and guides with years of experience, and a terrific chef and lodge staff. Anglers continue to enjoy the superior fishing, and the high quality lodging services that we are best known for.
Tight Lines!
